NB: CIE Australia was founded as the Australian National Council on Illumination (ANCI), which held its inaugural meeting in Sydney on 3rd March 1948. The name was changed to CIE Australia, reflecting the ties to the parent organisation, in the 1990s. More information on the history of ANCI and CIE Australia can be found in the paper J.
