CALReCo 2026
University of Sydney – 29th – 30th January 2026
CALReCo 2026 was attended by 68 people from 11 countries, with 39 attendees in-person and 29 viewers online.
The winner of the audience award for Most Outstanding Presentation was Cesar F. San Miguel for his presentation “Navigating the dark: Evidence-based guidance to manage light pollution for wildlife.”

CIE Midterm Meeting 2025
The CIE Midterm meeting held in Vienna, Austria: 4-11 July 2025 provided an ideal platform for all interested in the arts and sciences of light and lighting, spanning disciplines from science, engineering, design, and industry, to come together and engage in discussions with peers from the global lighting community. CALReCo 2025
Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane – 4 February 2025
The 2025 edition of the CIE Australia Lighting Research Conference, CALReCo2025, was held on Tuesday 4th February 2025 at QUT, Brisbane. The conference was attended by 52 attendees, with 30 in person and 22 online.

CIE/CCPR Expert Workshop – 100 Years of V(lambda) and Future of Photometry
Paris, France: 31 May – 3 June 2024.
The workshop will commemorate the 100th anniversary of V(λ), overview the history of spectral luminous efficiency functions and CIE colorimetry, and introduce the cone fundamentals published by CIE (2006, 2015), then will discuss the future of photometry and colorimetry with cone-fundamental-based spectral luminous efficiency functions and color-matching functions.
