CIE Australia AGM 2013

The 65th Annual General Meeting of CIE Australia was held on

Tuesday 28th May 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of
Greenearth Energy
Level 14, 500 Collins St
Melbourne, Victoria 3000

For the first time, the meeting was also broadcast as a live Webex meeting and able to be accessed via the Internet.  This meant that people could join the online meeting and see the presentations, hear the presenters and speak to the meeting.  While there were a few small technical glitches, overall it was considered to be a great success and meant that people who were not able to travel could attend, thus we had a greater attendance than we otherwise would have.

Technical Session: Report Back from CIE Midterm Session and Celebration of Centenary in Paris

Veronica Garcia-Hansen, Tony Bergen, Warren Julian, Peter McGinley and Steve Jenkins attended the CIE Conference, Centenary celebrations and Division meetings and Technical Committee meetings in Paris in April 2013.  Tony Bergen read a presentation of the history of the CIE, mainly focussing on its origins and significant achievements.  The presentation was titled "One Hundred Years of CIE and Evolution of Lighting" and was originally presented by Jean Bastie as a Keynote presentation at the Conference.

Jean Bastie is a long-serving CIE member.  He was Head of the Optical Radiation Measurement Department at INM/CNAM and is now retired.
