Membership

Membership of CIE Australia is quick and easy. The benefits include a 66% discount on the price of publications from the CIE, discounted registration fees for CIE Australia events, plus voting rights at CIE Australia meetings*.

There are three different membership levels (note: the fees went up at the 2023 AGM, which was the first raise for seven years):

Student Membership*: $40 p.a.
Individual Membership: $120 p.a.
Organisation Membership: $300 p.a.
Organisation Membership (Sustaining): $720 p.a.

* Student membership does not include voting rights in CIE Australia AGMs and ballots.

You can download a CIE Australia Membership form in Microsoft Word or PDF formats, fill it out and email it to the CIE Australia Treasurer at treasurer@cie.org.au. To pay for your membership, please see the Payment section below.

Note: In order to effectively manage communication with its members, CIE Australia uses an email list hosted by Googlegroups. Googlegroups is a free and convenient service for us to use. When you become a member you will be added to the CIE_Aus_Members Googlegroup.

After you have been added to this email list you can also log into the Googlegroups website to view the history of messages, but in order to do this you will need to have a Googlegroups account (which is also free and quick to do, you can do it yourself at your leisure). This is purely optional. To just continue to receive the email notifications that we send to our members you don’t need to have a Googlegroups account.

Payment

If you would like to become a member, please start by downloading a membership application form from above, filling it out and emailing it to the CIE Australia Treasurer at treasurer@cie.org.au. You will then receive an invoice for payment which includes online payment (Paypal) and EFT options.
