CIE Australia Lighting Research Conference 2024

The University of Melbourne
Room 126, Level 1, Building 260

200 Berkeley Street, Carlton, Vic, 3053

Welcome to the website of CIE Australia's 2024 Lighting Research Conference (CALReCo 2024).  Researchers and members of the lighting community from Australia and around the world presented a variety of talks on topics relating to the core scientific work of the CIE in what was a high quality and informative one-day conference.  A total of 41 participants, both in person and online, heard presentations from 16 presenters from eight countries along with one workshop.

Additionally, on the day before the conference we held our 2024 CIE Australia AGM and ran a Research Students' Workshop, both of which were held in at the same venue and also be accessible online.

Award Winner

The winner of the Most Outstanding Presentation (audience award) was Dr Andrew Metha (University of Melbourne), pictured below with conference Chair Tony Bergen after the conference dinner (and perhaps after one or two glasses of wine...).  Joint runners-up were Dr Emma Woolliams (NPL, UK) and Dr Simon Joosten (Monash University).
