CIE Australia Research Students' Workshop 2024 Monday 29th January 2024 Validation of simulation models in lighting & daylighting 1) Inputs - a brief intro to uncertainty in photometric data (e.g. .ies files) and weather files for daylight simulation. 2) Simulation models - practical demonstration of modelling uncertainty using a Monte Carlo simulation. 3) Uncertainty in field measurements - for electric and daylight: challenges, best practice and reasonable uncertainties in field measurement. Presenters: Gillian Isoardi (Chair), Steve Coyne, Tony Bergen Download presentations:
Note: The spreadsheets created by Tony are made without exhaustive checking and may contain errors; they should be used only in the context of the presentation that he gave. The workshop is open to all research students, supervisors and other people interested in research methods, measurements and data analysis in the field of light and lighting. There will also be opportunities for research students to outline their research and discuss any challenges that they may be experiencing, such as setting up experiments or models and data analysis. Registration is not essential, however if you would like to give the presenters advance information about any topics that you would like to raise, please email secretary@cie.org.au with CC to calreco@cie.org.au. The workshop is free to attend.
